Kyzatrex vs Jatenzo vs Tlando: What the Prescribing Information Says
Kyzatrex, Jatenzo and Tlando compared from their prescribing information: listed doses, the 2025 blood pressure changes, monitoring and listed cost.

Disclosure: PrescribedRX sells its own treatments, so we compete with some of the companies covered here, and we may earn affiliate commissions.
Short answer: Kyzatrex, Jatenzo and Tlando are three brand-name oral testosterone undecanoate capsules, a form of oral testosterone. One difference is dosing: the Jatenzo and Kyzatrex prescribing information adjusts the dose from a blood test, while the Tlando prescribing information lists one fixed dose of 225 mg twice daily. All three list blood pressure increases as a warning, and each records that its boxed warning on blood pressure was removed in 2025 (Kyzatrex prescribing information).
Everything below comes from the current prescribing information on DailyMed and each manufacturer’s site, checked in October 2026. PrescribedRX does not sell Kyzatrex, Jatenzo or Tlando. For how oral testosterone undecanoate differs from the older oral androgens, see our guide to how modern oral testosterone works.

Who makes them?
Kyzatrex is made by Marius Pharmaceuticals, Jatenzo by Tolmar and Tlando by Verity Pharmaceuticals, according to each manufacturer’s site (Kyzatrex; Jatenzo; Tlando).
All three contain testosterone undecanoate, which each prescribing information describes as an ester of testosterone. The Kyzatrex and Tlando prescribing information both state that the product “is not substitutable with other oral testosterone undecanoate products” (Kyzatrex prescribing information; Tlando prescribing information).
What dose does each one list?
These doses are printed in section 2 of each prescribing information. They are prescribing information facts, not instructions. Your provider sets the dose.
Jatenzo
The Jatenzo prescribing information lists a starting dose of 237 mg twice daily with food, adjusted from serum testosterone drawn 6 hours after the morning dose. Its adjustment table raises the dose below 425 ng/dL and lowers it above 970 ng/dL, within a minimum of 158 mg and a maximum of 396 mg twice daily (Jatenzo prescribing information).
Tlando
The Tlando prescribing information lists a single dose: 225 mg (two 112.5 mg capsules) twice daily with food, with no titration table. Serum testosterone is checked 8 to 9 hours after the morning dose, 3 to 4 weeks after starting. It says to continue if the level is 300 to 1,080 ng/dL and to discontinue if it is below 300 or above 1,080 ng/dL (Tlando prescribing information).
Kyzatrex
The Kyzatrex prescribing information lists a starting dose of 200 mg twice daily with food, adjusted from serum testosterone drawn 3 to 5 hours after the morning dose. Its adjustment table raises the dose below 460 ng/dL and lowers it above 971 ng/dL, within a minimum of 100 mg once in the morning and a maximum of 400 mg twice daily (Kyzatrex prescribing information).
Do they still have a boxed warning for blood pressure?
No, not in the current prescribing information. Each one’s “Recent Major Changes” section lists the boxed warning on blood pressure increases as removed: 07/2025 on the Kyzatrex and Tlando prescribing information, and 03/2025 and 07/2025 on the Jatenzo prescribing information.
Blood pressure has not left the prescribing information. All three keep a “Blood Pressure Increases” warning in section 5.4, say to measure blood pressure periodically, and say the product is not recommended for men with uncontrolled hypertension. Each reports blood pressure changes from its own study:
| Prescribing information (study) | Mean change in systolic/diastolic BP from baseline | In men on blood pressure medicine |
|---|---|---|
| Jatenzo (ambulatory monitoring) | +4.9/2.5 mm Hg after 4 months | +5.4/3.2 mm Hg |
| Tlando (Study 18-001) | +4.3/1.4 mm Hg after 4 months | +4.8/1.6 mm Hg |
| Kyzatrex (Study MRS-TU-2019EXT) | +1.7/0.6 mm Hg after 4 months; +1.8/0.6 mm Hg after 6 months | +3.4/0.7 mm Hg after 4 months; +3.1/1.0 mm Hg after 6 months |
These figures come from three separate studies with different designs and patients, not a head-to-head trial, so they cannot be used to rank the products. The Jatenzo prescribing information adds that “average blood pressures had not plateaued at the end of the trial.”
What does the TRAVERSE trial add?
The Jatenzo prescribing information now reports results of the TRAVERSE trial: major adverse cardiovascular events occurred in 7% of men on topical testosterone gel versus 7.3% on placebo (Jatenzo prescribing information).
What monitoring does the prescribing information list?
The three prescribing information documents share most monitoring steps and differ in a few details:
- Before starting. All three say to confirm hypogonadism with morning serum testosterone measured on at least two separate days, both below the normal range. Our testosterone blood test guide explains what that test measures.
- Hematocrit. Checked before starting, then on the schedule in the table above.
- Blood pressure. All three say to measure it periodically, “especially men with hypertension.”
- Prostate. All three say to evaluate for prostate cancer before and during treatment with androgens; the Tlando prescribing information names PSA measurement.
- Prolactin (Tlando only). The Tlando prescribing information says to check serum prolactin before starting and 3 to 4 months after.
Who are they indicated for?
All three are indicated for testosterone replacement therapy in adult males with primary or hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, congenital or acquired. Each one’s limitations of use say safety and efficacy have not been established in males under 18 or in men with “age-related hypogonadism” (Tlando prescribing information).
Each lists the same contraindications: carcinoma of the breast or known or suspected carcinoma of the prostate, women who are pregnant, and known hypersensitivity to the product. All three are Schedule III controlled substances.
How much do Kyzatrex, Jatenzo and Tlando cost?
None of the three manufacturers publishes one clear list price. This is what each manufacturer’s site showed in October 2026:
| Product | What the manufacturer’s site lists (October 2026) |
|---|---|
| Kyzatrex | “KYZATREX is a cash-pay medication.” The site says “Your prescribing provider will give you information on pricing” and that it is not available in Rhode Island and Alabama. No dollar figure (Kyzatrex site). |
| Jatenzo | Copay assistance “will cover up to $393 for a 1-month supply of JATENZO 237 mg,” and commercially insured patients may “pay as little as $0.” Cash-pay terms appear on the same page; confirm the current price with Tolmar (Jatenzo site). |
| Tlando | “Uninsured patients may also have access to TLANDO for as little as $150 through the TLANDO Preferred Pharmacy Network program.” The page does not state the supply length for that figure. A co-pay card lists “as little as $0” for eligible commercially insured patients (Tlando site). |
The Jatenzo and Tlando offers carry eligibility restrictions. For the wider picture of testosterone pricing, see what TRT costs in 2026.
When should you talk to a doctor?
If you take or are considering Kyzatrex, Jatenzo or Tlando, talk to a licensed provider. These warnings from their prescribing information are worth knowing before that conversation:
- Possible blood clots. All three say to evaluate men who report pain, swelling, warmth and redness in the lower leg for deep vein thrombosis, and men with sudden shortness of breath for pulmonary embolism (Kyzatrex prescribing information).
- Uncontrolled high blood pressure. All three say the product is not recommended in this case.
- Swelling and sleep apnea. Each lists edema in men with existing heart, kidney or liver disease, and sleep apnea in men with risk factors (Tlando prescribing information).
- Fertility. All three list possible adverse effects on sperm production and name azoospermia (no sperm in the semen).
How are these different from enclomiphene?
Kyzatrex, Jatenzo and Tlando contain testosterone undecanoate. Enclomiphene is a different drug and is not testosterone; see our guide to what enclomiphene is and our enclomiphene vs TRT comparison.
PrescribedRX does not offer any of the three branded capsules. Through PrescribedRX, the options are compounded testosterone (injectable testosterone and testosterone cream) and compounded enclomiphene. Compounded medications are prepared by licensed pharmacies and are not FDA-approved. The enclomiphene plan is listed at $387 ($129/mo), billed every 3 months. A $69 hormone panel at a Quest lab comes first, and a licensed provider decides whether treatment is appropriate for you. For how the routes compare, see our TRT methods comparison.
Talk to a licensed provider through PrescribedRX
PrescribedRX connects men with state-licensed clinicians through an online intake. It starts with the $69 hormone panel at a Quest lab near you, and a licensed provider decides whether treatment is appropriate for you. See the options on our testosterone treatment page or answer a few questions to check eligibility. Availability varies by state.
