Automatic Disqualifiers #
- Personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN2 syndrome
- Active pancreatitis or triglycerides above 500
- Currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- Currently taking lithium — GLP-1 medications are contraindicated with lithium
Cases Requiring Clinician Evaluation #
- Bariatric surgery within the past 12 months
- Current use of Warfarin — may qualify with provider approval
